Welcome To Our South Austin Dental Clinic
Dear West Creek Dental Family,
We hope you are staying well! We are taking many extra steps in an attempt to keep you safe during your dental visits.
West Creek Dental has been diligent in staying up to date with all current CDC, OSHA, ADA and TX State guidelines, so that we can continue to provide the best patient experience possible. We take your safety seriously. We have implemented additional protocols in order to provide your dental care in a relatively low-risk space. Many problems in the mouth do not cause discomfort until they are very severe. Oral health is also highly linked to our systemic overall health. Therefore, it is extremely important that we care for your health in a preventative, proactive manner and not delay “routine” care. Our team is dedicated to reducing the amount of pathogenic (harmful) bacteria in your mouth during your hygiene visit. In addition, we enjoy teaching you how to control risk factors for cavities and gum disease, and how taking care of your teeth can impact heart disease, diabetes and other health conditions.
Some of the measures we are taking:
- Our office will text you the pre-screening questions. Please check your text &/or email and fill the forms prior your appointment
- Empty waiting room policy. Patients will not be utilizing the reception room, we will be escorting you directly to your treatment room upon arrival. Please do not bring any guests to your appointments.
- You may see that our waiting room will no longer offer magazines, since they are difficult to clean and disinfect.
- Patients will call when they arrive and wait in their car until we call or text them when we are able to take them directly to their treatment room to avoid any contact with other patients
- Upon arrival patients will be screened, have their temperature taken with a touchless thermometer, and be given hand sanitizer
- Manage patient flow in a way that will maintain social distancing for patients • Staff will follow CDC guidelines for personal protective equipment and will be screened twice daily for fever and symptoms
- Door handles and countertops will be disinfected throughout the day, in between patients
- Pre-treatment rinse with Peroxyl / hydrogen peroxide mouth rinse to minimize pathogen levels in the oral cavity
- Should you need to use the restroom during your visit you will be asked to do so wearing a mask. In addition, please put your mask on prior to walking to check-out.
If you are wondering whether it is safe to return to the dental office, we want to reassure you that our dental office cleanliness and sanitation have always exceeded the required standards to prevent the spread of any illness. The additional measures we are putting in place will further improve patient and staff safety.
If you have any questions regarding the safety or necessity of your dental appointment, please call us at (512) 394-7989, and we will be happy to help.
We look forward to seeing you soon.
